1st Virginia Infantry Regiment captured a flag

At the battle of Williamsburg on May 5th, 1862, the 1st Virginia Infantry Regiment found two flags. While they walked through Major Wainwright's Eight Gun battery, they picked up the flag "To Hell or Richmond." That we have known, but, they also picked up a "Small Blue silk Brigade guidon with gold embroidered with "3"." Major-General (Promoted on 5 May, 1862) Hooker's division fought at Williamsburg first and his third brigade was Brigadier-General Patterson. General Patterson's brigade contained the 5th-6th-7th and 8th New Jersey Infantry Regiment.
