Alabama Co. Flag, Autuaga Guards--research info

In my knife research I found this obscure quote from a diary describing the presentation of a company flag. Anybody interested in the source, contact me. You'll have to pardon the spelling:

On 24 July 1861 T L Faulkner (Captain) received orders to "Rais a comp for 12 mons for confederate Service on the 27 Augt 1861 the comp was raised and officers elected at Kingston Ala on the 4 Sept 1861 the com rendevansed at Autaugaville Ala where they ware furnished with uniforms tents Double Barrell shot guns and side Knives & fed untill the 12 by the citizens on which day they ware prensented with a nice flag embroydered on it thi name of our co Autauga Guards"
