Having been in the MOC's flag vault more than once, they have state of the art steel shelving and acid free conservation boxes to store things in. Since this is a wool bunting flag it can be safely folded (lightly) in such a box. The silk flags are stored flat on the metal shelving covered with acid free paper. All of this is pretty standard for most museums.
