The only surviving flag of the 15th Ala. is the silk flag they fought under in the Shenandoah Valley campaign and was retired following Cedar Mountain. Fortunately, it is in the Alabama Dept. of History and Archives under the watchful care of Bob Bradley. The flag they carried at Appomattox is supposed to be buried with the last flag bearer, John Archibald, in Eufala, Alabama. I've been searching for info on these flags myself.
