on page 60 in Howie's Battle Flags book. Pg 59 explains that some of the flags of the western units and the ANV were "basically the same design" except for several construction details. There are several black & white illustrations of "western" flags that were captured from units that served with the ANV. It also has the flag that we ar going back an forth over if he did not approve the flag why would it be in his book. Furthermore if he had to suppress his laughter he most certainly would be put in the book for the public to see.
