If you purchase the book Flags of CivilWar Arkansas look on page 87. A Civil War Veteran by the name of A.H. Reynolds from Camden Arkansas gave a description of the 19th Arkansas (Dockerys) flag of what it might of looked like. According to Pvt. A.H Reynolds: ''When I returned to my command I found Col. Dockery promoted to brigadier general, promoted for bravery at Champion Hill, Farmington, Corinth, Hatchey Bridge, Iuka, all of which battles were inscribe on our battle flag (88).'' The Flag of the 19th Arkansas Regiment disappeared According to Confederate Veteran A.H Reynolds: ''it found a watery grave in the hands of Captain Goldbold, who perished with it in the Big Black River on the morning of May 17th, 1863, has our command was falling back into Vicksburg''(88). Looking on page 87 is picture of a Vandorn issued battle flag it could be possible that the 19th Arkansas (Dockerys) Regiment may of been the Vandorn Flag. Remember the 19th Arkansas was assigned to the Department of the Army of the West. I got this information from The Flags of Civil War Arkansas and
I added the page numbers out by quotes so you know what page to find these quotes on when you are reading the book.
