Flag Presentation to 48Va July 1864

Came across this reference in a letter written on 19 July 1864 by Thomas Jefferson Campbell, F/48Va, from Camp near Berryville, Clarke Co., Va. In noting the gift of a flag, Campbell also comments on the severly reduced strength of the 48th, the result of the regiment being overrun at the Mule Shoe near Spotsylvania C.H., 12 May 1864. Does anyone have any information about this flag presented by the Ladies of Wiinchester?

“there is 20 guns in the 48th[.] it is nearly gone up. The Ladys of Winchester Sent us a flag yesterday [18 July][.] there is a bout enough of us for a Color guard.”
