Two colors lost at Bristow Station

The Christopher G. Heffelfinger Papers at the Minnesota Historical Society contains an article from the New York Herald of 19 November 1914, that describes the battle at Bristow [or Bristoe] Station, in which the 82nd New York captured "a beautiful stand of colors from the Twenty Eighth North Carolina, and some prisoners" ... while the 19th Maine took "another stand from the Twenty Second North Carolina and 300 prisoners." Heffelfinger describes his regiment's [1st Minnesota] actions in that battle in considerable detail.
