Interesting flag... Just an opinion and observation but would appear most likely one of the earlier pre-Gburg 3rd bunting issues. Over the years have noted some very minor charactoristic differences between the early and later issues.

If the ID story is solid to the 2nd SC Infantry, then would be interesting to see what link it reportedly has with Sailors Creek. Especially since the 2nd SC Infantry and Kershaws Brigade were moved out of Virginia, back to SC in January 1865, along with a few other predominate SC Brigades. So werent even close to SCk in April 1865. They ended the war with Johnston in NC.

If the Sailors Creek story is strong, but the ID assumption weak, but a possible "2nd" something. I would be suspect it might be 2nd SC Rifles.. who was at Hillsman Farm segment of Sailors Creek with Ewell.
