I've found that the flag was returned on September 20, 1916 by survivors of the 1st Arkansas Inf. John A. Cathy one of the three men that captured the flag was in attendance when the flag was returned during the thirty eight annual reunion of the survivors of the 76th Ohio at Newark, Ohio. They never say which one of the four 76th Ohio battle flags was captured. I've found pictures of the flags, but not sure which one was captured. I'm thinking it was their 1st National Color. any help. R.D.
