Makes sense that the escort company in the din of a melee would be using a bunting flag of the same configuration as the '63 silk Aberdeen flag which in all cases would probably only be used for special occurences. What makes you think the bunting flag pre-dates the Aberdeen flag? It makes perfect sense that the women who completed the silk version would have had some sort of template to go by in the construction of the now housed silk flag in the Alabama State Archive. Do you know who made up the escort, by name? Perhaps one of them left correspondence which could solidify your claim and silence the nay sayers.
