I had a hard time pinning that one down, too. It is a much better constructed flag than the junk sold by the "Bristol Boys" a few years ago, and no rubber-stamp battle honors, either. I can't comment on the black-light test as there are a number of uncertainties with that method when dealing with fabrics. The machine stitching of the stars and seams looks much more even than you would expect from an old treadle sewing machine. In short, in my opinion it could be a post-war reunion flag, but not likely UCV. More like SCV or Grandsons of Confederate Veterans.
