While doing some research I found the following ad in the August 29, 1943, edition of the Times-Picayune (New Orleans), and thought the flag guys on the forum might find it of interest:

"Confederate flag has been in family since its capture on Mississippi river near Vicksburg. It was made by New Orleans ladies for their regiment. Will trade for war bonds. Write Box A-519. T-P. States."
