I am Newton Webbs 2nd great grandson and had been trying to find one of these rifles for years. I finally tracked one down last Fall and bought it. Shortly after I purchased the rifle I purchased a copy of The Gun Report with your article. Until I read the article I had never heard of Field Arrowsmith or knew of any rifles being personalized. A few weeks later I got a call from a local man inquiring about the rifle. During the course of conversation he mentioned he was a relative of Mr. Arrowsmith. I told him about the rifle in your article and he seemed intrigued, which leads me to why I contacted you. Do you still have the Arrowsmith rifle? If you do would you be willing to snap some pictures of it? If you don't, do you know where it has ended up? I would love to have some good quality photos to add to my records and I know Mr. Arrowsmiths relative would like to have copies too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
