I think that I told you that the flag of the Conasauga Volunteers (19th Tennessee - not sure what company) that was taken at Mill Springs turned up in private hands a few years ago. The owner is a direct descendant of Col. Kise of the 10th Indiana.

It is a silk First National with the unit name on the white bar.

A number of CS flags were taken there in the battle and in the CS trenches. I have the 15th Mississippi losing at least six flags there. Most were not sent to the War Department, typical for Western Theater battles. Some remain in private hands. I sure wish we could figure out the ID of WD 25.
