The flag involved is in Memorial Hall in New Orleans. When I first saw it years ago I counted all 83 bullet holes! This report is not the often used hyperbole we all have seen saying such things as "the flag was shot to shreds" when the flag in question was often not! That is not the case with the flag of Hilliard's Legion.
