Concerning the existence of Cobb's Battery Flag : There is evidence that a Cobb's Battery Flag still exists. It is thought that after the Battle of Jackson, MS, the unit was presented with a flag made by and from the dresses of the wives of Gens. John C. Breckenridge, S.B. Buckner and H.B. Lyon. The flag is thought to have been smuggled through the lines after the war by Frank P. Gracey and is still in the possession of his son Jullian P. Gracey's family today .
