I don't see any Union order of battle that the 108th Illinois fought in Georgia. Maybe the 11th Tennessee Cavalry regiment?? Certainly could not be the 11th Tennessee Infantry regiment. The 108th Illinois fought at Brice's Crossroads, Mobile, Alabama, etc.

They were put in the First Brigade, Second Division, Sixteenth Corps. But, I do not see them in anywhere in Georgia.

I believe the newspaper was "Off" just a bit.
