I would indeed concur that Longstreet's men got some supplies from the Staunton Depot from the railroad that ran from Knoxville to there and beyond in Virginia (some of which was the East TN and VA RR). What we need to find in the CSRs of units that were with him, if they survive, are any flag requisitions from the time frame. As Longstreet's Corps was organic to the ANV once they reset their communications with VA, they were probably told to do all requisitions from Richmond Depot for equipment; the food, which was also sent to Richmond from the Staunton Depot (where it had been sent once gathered), could come from its original source in the Valley.

I have Alex Mendonza's book on Longstreet's Corps in the West - let me see if he has anything on this.
