The flag of the 7th Tennessee, identical to the rest of the TN unit flags in Archer's Brigade in terms of gold painted unit designation and dark blue painted battle honors, survived the war and was brought back to Tennessee. A drawing of it, tattered, was depicted in a post-war Tennessee newspaper but the flag has yet to be located today. The regiment was from the counties east of Nashville including Wilson County.
