A lot of flags were taken at Sailor's Creek and as most are not marked with unit ID we will probably never know to what units they belonged sadly. Chris Calkins who has written books on this fight has a table in the back of one of them that shows the Medals of Honor awarded in the campaign and numerous medals were for taking flags.

I would bet that the actual number of captured flags is over 25 for that fight - just as they lost at elast that many on April 2, 1865 when the lines southwest of Petersburg finally broke along Hatcher's Run through the two forts west of town.
