Here you go!!! Link provided for 1st Georgia Cavalry flag, company K. From 1st Battle of Murfreesboro. Note: A sergeant from that unit was wounded in that battle and used the flag you will see for a bandage. It is blood stained. Flag details are in the link, size, type of material, etc. Click on the flag and it will expand the image for you.

My GGG uncle, Joseph Hammons joined an independent unit of Confederate Cavalry in Campbell County, Tennessee - early war. This unit disbanded after one year and he rode to the 1st Georgia while they were camped at Clinton, Tennessee and joined up with them there. Clinton was a large Confederate outpost that patrolled/guarded the approaches to Knoxville, Tennessee.

Joseph was captured when the 1st Georgia Cavalry was overran fighting a fierce battle on a hill outside of Atlanta. He was exchanged in early 1865 and he made his way all the way from Camp Chase (? can't remember right now) to where the 1st was in North Carolina. Definitely, a dedicated soldier. Enjoy the flag picture and information. Text me.
