During the battle of Gettysburg July 1863 a Union soldier and a Confererate soldier were in a literal tug of war over a CS Flag...which literally split in half...50 years later in 1913 reunion the Union soldier deceided to return his half.. to the confederates of the unit he fought against...and they still had their missing half!
