Eric,
I was quite amused by the exchange between you and "Shawn from DC who only lives 15 minutes from the Library of Congress." Shawn should probably spend a little more time in the LOC and try to get his facts straight about the Army of Tennessee and the battle of Franklin (not the 50 minute soiree he alludes to). Perhaps a longer stroll to the National Archives would be in order.
I am reading your book now and find it especially well researched. The bibliography and the list of primary resources are especially impressive. What Shawn may not realize is that most primary reference materials are not housed in the LOC as they are often one-of-a-kind documents and not published.
Regardless, you have done the contesting armies at Franklin proud. The only constructive criticism I have is that I wish there were more maps, but when most of the fight took place after dark that is forgiveable.
Regards,
Bill
