That's a great post. You really have accumulated some great materials on the Confederate Color Bearers? BTW, don't leave out my wife's uncle, Thomas N. Torreyson, colorbearer of the 35th VA Cav Bttn. He was seriously wounded at the Wilderness, fighting Custer's men and lost a leg.

I sure hope you publish in the near future. Some of the most heroic, poignant and tragic stories of the war are centered around the men who bore the colors.
