I do not doubt there may have been an Irish influence but when looking at facts of this flag being tied to Kentucky militia and a flag that is very, very similar was adopted by the army of Central Kentucky is pure chance? So happens the man identified with this Kentucky flag was also with the same Confederate force in Kentucky? To ignore that is kinda irresponsible?
