I took the day off and went to the LOC, this very nice old lady showed me the pensions and rosters of every regiment Union/Confederate state. It was amazing...I could spend months up there, but the Madison building had a fire on the 7th floor and everyone had to leave, so I shall continue my search there. Those books were so old and fragile. The Vermont roster books almost fell apart just opening it. I found many of my family and got dates on deaths and when they mustered out. I will be up there this Saturday with a group of friends to help out.

I met a gentleman that also was into captured flags, I told him about your site so I do hope he joins us. He was very interested in the battle of "2nd Deep Bottom". He was trying to figure out if Wright's Ga Brigade or Sander's (Willcox's old AL Brigade) had lost a flag there. I did not know his answer to that question.
