As one who has been there for research I can well attest to how the folks in Iowa does, indeed, treat their CS flags in their collection complete with state of the art storage and climate controlled environment. They treat them as well as any of the Iowa unit colors which should say a lot.

They were also most courteous to me while I was there for the day.
