I'm looking for information regarding Lawrence County Missouri Brights, Asberry, John Richard, Thomas Benton to name a few that I remember seeing on a Company G Roster of the 8th Missouri Infantry website.

What battle conflicts s was the 8th Mo involved in? How many died and was anyone retained as a POW of the Union Army?

These particular Bright family were descendents of Tobias and Albertus Bright who settled Barry/Lawrence County in the mid 1840s from Kentucky.

We know Thomas Benton later settled in Alvord, Wise County, Texas and Raleigh, Asberry, John Richard returned to Lawrence County where they were from.
