Artists Fermin Cerveau, of Savannah, was one of the more prominent GA flag makers and I have his files as well as several newspaper accoutns of flags that he made. The large secession banner at Ft. Pulaski was done by him as was one of the other flags in their collections (Montgomery Guards I think).
He is buried in Natchez, MS and I have been in contact with a few of his descendents. He is most famous for painting very large murals and a book dedicated to his art in Savannah came out many years ago.
