I have heard and read that the 12th Corps never lost a flag or gun. At the battle of Cedar Mountain some Union regiments lost flags but they were not yet called the 12th Corps. 33 days after Cedar Mountain they were called the 12th Corps.

Anybody ever find a flag lost from the 12th Corps?
