OOPS! I guess it was Tom Custer:
3 April: Battle of Namozine Church, VA. TWC captures flag and wins his first medal of honor.
6 April: Battle of Sailor's Creek, VA. TWC captures flag and wins his second medal of honor, but is shot in the face.
Also, I looked it up and found an interesting posting at: http://www.mishalov.com/Medal_Honor_History_Issues.html
( I guess I could have researched before I posted) The MOH is the MOH, but it was given out much more whimsically before 1916 when eligibility was determined and reviews were made of previous recipients. 911 of 2,625 Medals of Honor were cancelled.
