I was especially interested in the fact that Vincent's expertise was dealing with larger pieces of cloth. Also his ability to produce fortress flags for the Charleston area (and elsewhere) like Ft. Moultrie, Ft. Sumter, Ft. Caswell(near Wilmington),etc. For SC Governor Pickens and the CSA to request his works, evidently Vincent had a professional reputation for producing large quality flags. I will search for the news articles you mentioned that were in the Charleston Daily Courier about Hugh Vincent.
