Regarding Flag 54 of the Second East Tennessee Regt. A small footnote to your excellant list
This flag is illustrated in the Rare ( But Reprinted) Cotton Belt Railroad Commerative of 1905.
The wood cut shows the fringe on the fly end torn loose and the US. Eagle appears to have been cut out of the center of the field.
The flag was returned to Tenn with the Confederate battle flags in 1905.
