My name is Sebastian Nelson. I’ve been visiting this message board for a few years, and in March I was hired as an archivist at the California State Archives in Sacramento. Today I had the pleasure of helping John Allen (the State Capitol Museum’s historian) inventory their collection of Civil War, Spanish American War and World War One flags (which are housed here at the State Archives). I got to see the Biderman flag for the first time, and apparently it is in much better condition than had been thought. It was very pretty.
