It is the saga of General Felix Zollicoffer's 1st Brigade, Army of the Tennessee, of which the 15th Mississippi was assigned, campaign into Kentucky through Cumberland Gap which ended unsccessful at the Battle of Wildcat Mountain. It was were the 15th Mississippi saw the elephant. Has battle narrative and 30 first hand accounts-three from 15th Mississippi soldiers.
