The last flag of the Battalion could well be in North Carolina. In 1911 it was in the possession of May Wheat Shober, living on North Carolina. If it survives it probably isn't in too good condition. In June 1862 one witness said it looked as if it had been drawn through a briar patch.

The Battalion's first flag was returned to Kate Eastman, who had made the flag, in late 1861. This flag was donated in the 1890's to the Louisiana Historical Association and is currently in the collection of the New Orleans Confederate Museum.
