"Rock City Guards" flag captured

I dont know what Confederate regiment or company this flag belonged to but at Murfreesboro the 21st Ohio captured it. Doing a deep search I found out the 21st Ohio also lost their flag or flags at Murfreesboro.

The 21st Ohio was armed with colt repeaters and they did a bayonet charge on Patton Anderson's Mississippi Brigade (Walthall's). Well one company of the 21st Ohio was captured and on OR 20 page 688 also confirms this.

Now in Peter Cozzen's "No Better Place To Die" on page 143 said "One entire company of the Twenty-first fell captive to the the Twenty-seventh Mississippi".

OR 20 page 688 had this,

" Artillerists were captured at their pieces, a large number of whom and of their infantry support were killed upon the spot, and one company entire, with its officers and colors, were captured".

This was General Polk's OR Report. Where he wrote that the Patton Anderson's brigade had captured those flags.

If this is true then the 21st Ohio armed with Colt Repeaters lost their flag/flags at Murfreesboro and lost their flags also at Chickamauga.

The hunt for Union colors continues.
