Re: 22nd Indiana Flag (fragments)

I had a lot of family at Murfreesboro during Sheridan's last position. 27th Illinois, 15th Missouri (USA), 36th Illinois (which lost the most men at this battle). I am trying to piece together all my family and what battles they fought in and when or where they were killed/wounded/pow etc. I do know that 11 were killed in action, one died at Andersonville in the 9th Ohio Cavalry. One was in the 27th Illinois veteran detachment (3 served in this regiment) the youngest was captured at Franklin while being attached to Conrad's brigade. He spent 4 months at Andersonville and made it back home.

At Fort Wagner Benjamin Franklin Prouty was the captain of company B in the 6th Connecticut and another Prouty was in the 63rd Georgia (2 companies serving as heavy artillery in Fort Wagner).
