Thank you, for the compliment and especially, for understanding my interpretation of the movement in Lane's brigade.

Your comment: "the pieces are falling into place," is the very reason that I dug deeper into Lane's leftwing regiments. Like you, I have had difficulty reconciling the accounts from the men in the 108th and 126th New York with the traditionally accepted history of the battle.

Now, if you really want to see the pieces fall into place, try and locate the "unidentified" flag captures from the Official Records on the map from "A Rediscovered Bachelder Letter." I think you're in for quite a surprise.
