Union battleflags captured at Utoy Creek, GA

Sir:

My compliments on your research.

The 8th Tennessee Infantry USV and 116th Indiana Infantry, USV of Riley's Brigade, Cox's Division, 23rd Army Corps lost their colors during the attack on Utoy Creek, GA Aug 6, 1864. I am working on a history of the action and wondered if you have any information on the return of those Regimental Colors by the Confederates, or war department after the war.

The Colors were captured by Tylers Brigade, Bates Division attached to LTG Steven D. Lee's Infantry Corps from 01 Aug -10 Aug 1864.
