>>First National - 1 definite flag
According to Madaus the combined 32nd & 58th Ala lost a First National at Resaca. The ORs list this flag as belonging to the 38th Ala. Is this the First National in question?
>The First National is correct. They then either used the Second National or a Mobile Depot flag, since Clatyon's Brigade was equipped with those.

Any ideas on the source and details of this 1st National Flag of the 32nd Alabama? I have a reference to this flag that indicates it was 3'x4' and had 7 stars in a circle around a larger central star. I would assume wool bunting construction with maybe fine cotton stars but have no idea which of the attachment options might have been used. Any additional guidance and/or info would be appreciated.
