While we're on the topic of the 32nd Alabama (I figured it better to start a new thread), can anybody tell me anything about the 1st National flags that are attributed possibly to that unit. One is a garrison size flag (10 stars in a circle around a larger center star) that is owned by a museum in Illinos <http://www.civil-war.com/searchpages/confdetail.asp?ID=3>. I'm more interested in the smaller 1st National (7 stars around a larger central star) mentioned by Madaus in "Battle Flags" on page 22. This one was captured at Resaca, GA 5 May, 1864. I can't find any information on this one other than this mention and one other picture with a caption and incorrect dimension from an unknown source sent to me.
