Guys,
The flag in question housed at the Chancellorsville
Visitor's Center is a Richmond Depot 1st bunting issue.
Captured by the 7th NJ Inf on May 3, 1863. Donated to
the Park Service by the State of New Jersy in 1962.
It has been tentively identified as that of either the
1st or 3rd North Carolina Inf. It has previously been id'd
as belonging to several units; 1st Louisiana Inf, 21st Virginia Inf, 5th Alabama Inf.
The North Carolina id's seem to be the most solid.
