I visited with bob at the Alabama archives today for the purpose of studying the sewing characteristics of ANV Battleflags. I have read that the stars have turned edges before they were sewn to the blue cross.NOT SO on the ANV flags in the Alabama archive collection!MOST where cut and stiched on the cross without turned edges!To back this up, you can see a star on the 5th Alabama flag that is turned over and it does not have a turned edge.This just shows that every flag was made depending on the individual who made it, not some set standard for everybody to strictly adhere to.OK guys tell me what you think!!
