At one time I had a photograph of the Crescent Regiment flag that at that time belonged to a lawyer from Georgia. I don't remember if I sent a copy to Ken Legendre or not. I will look through my records to see if I can find it. If I recall correctly, it was a standard Confederate battle flag.
After Shiloh, company flags were not used in the West and state flags disappeared around that time as well. Louisiana units would carry the flag of the corps/army they were attached to.
