I love the hunt, lol. So now I am very curious to what flag the 7th North Carolina's Colonel took home with him.

At Chickamauga, Bragg reported 25 flags presented to him. I have found double that so far and I believe there are even more out there.

I do not believe I will ever finish this project, I will just pass it on to my kids when they get old enough to understand what I have been doing the last 15 years.

I just want something to come out for the general public on "Captured flags" Union and Confederate.

I am diffenitly blessed to be stationed in the Washington Dc area. The Library of Congress and National Archives is perfect for "Captured flags" research. Be my luck my next duty station will be Alaska, lol.

Again, thank you very much for your hard work on the 123rd New York! If they did or did not lose a flag, just amazing to have all of those letters.
