Yes, it was composed of mostly or all native Irishmen,as claimed by their Captain. 11 of the original 85 survived the war. Raised in Atlanta. I understand that the 19th's regimental Confederate battle flag is housed at the Georgia State Capital. But i believe this Irish-themed flag was captured by a Penn. soldier at Fredericksburg.
