I picked up what was described as an authentic confederate flag at a sale. The battles listed on the flag are Cedar Run Shiloh Ox Hill at the top, Harpers Ferry Gettysburg to the left, Cold Harbor Seven Pines to the right and Sharpsburg Mannassas along the bottom. I am trying to determine if this is an actual confederate flag. There is a plaque on the glass frame that says Confederate Battle Flag Adopted 1861. The flag is hand sewn, and I believe cotton. The size of the flag is approximately 21 x 34, however, the edges are pretty ragged. Is this possibly a Virginia Volunteers battle flag? Please help. Thank you.
