14th NC did they lose more then one flag??

I always heard the legend that the 14th North Carolina only lost one flag in the war. But I found something a bit odd and hope you can help me on.

OR 11, Series 1, Page 213

"In this short engagement the battle-flag of the Fourteenth North Carolina Regiment was captured by the Thirty-sixth New York Volunteers, and brought in by Captain Donoghue, of that regiment. The loss in my brigade was small in this affair."

"I am, captain, very respectfully, your obedient servant,

I. N. PALMER,

Brigadier General, Commanding Third Brigade, Couch's Division."

Ok so this is the first and "only flag" lost during the war.

Now at the battle of Sharpsburg, the 108th New York is credited with capturing the 14th NC's flag. ("Antietam", John Micheal Priest, page 191.) His source on this incident is from the book "Murfin, Page. 253."

Now I can not find any mention of the 14th North Carolina's flag being captured in OR 11, or the report of the 108th New York, that captured the flag. An officer from the 61st/64th New York made the private put the flag or otherwise he might be shot by other Union soldiers with that flag in his hand. The private turned the flag over to the 61st/64th New York. Now the 61st/64th New York claimed to have captured "3 stand of colors." But one flag they somehow lost. I wonder if that flag belonged to the 14th North Carolina.

Well let me know what you think on this subject.

Have a good evening,
